Carine Roitfeld At Chanel's Little Black Jacket Exhibit

Last night in Tokyo, Chanel opened the exhibit The Little Black Jacket to celebrate the forthcoming book of the same name by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld and many of the beautiful people photographed for the book turned out to join in the fun. The exhibit launched at the G-building in Aoyama followed by a party at the New York Grill at the Park Hyatt Tokyo. One of the highlights of the evening was apparently Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld — dapper in a Chanel woman's jacket — though I have yet to see photographic evidence. I enjoyed Carine's comment on the fashion scene in Tokyo: "They love fashion in a non-blasé way... they love it but they don't take it too seriously." The Little Black Jacket will travel to London next this autumn.
