Nouveau Western

My beau just crafted his first post verbally (and unbeknownst to him!). Looking over my shoulder at these photos of Carine Roitfeld and company he said, "Who does she think she is, Clint Eastwood?!" I covet the pinstriped cape, Wild West meets Wall Street, what a wrap. I know a lot of naysayers don't see the charm of the hat but I predict that this look as a whole indicates a growing trend, le nouveau western.

The lyrics to Rawhide are funny enough to print a bit more here. Twould be très drôle if someone (read Alexa Chung) were to remix this as a dance hit. Replete with real whip snaps, bien sûr.

Ha ha, I know, Kate! The photo at the top reminds me of a modern day Charlie's Angels with a western twang. Maybe "Rawhide" could be Carine's first movie...
