Happy Birthday Julia Restoin-Roitfeld!

Happiest of birthday wishes to Mademoiselle Julia Restoin-Roitfeld who turns 29 today. She and her boyfriend Robert Konjic are both Scorpios, perhaps an extended birthday holiday is the explanation behind Julia's notable absence from her brother Vladimir's opening on Monday night. Whatever she is doing to celebrate, I hope that she enjoys her special day. Joyeux anniversaire, Julia !

Kellina,thanks for the link!!!
I was going to send you a translation for the Vogue China entry; glad you got the info. It's a great piece!

Hi, Amarcord!! No worries!! It is good to know that you might be able to help with future articles in Chinese. It really adds to the editorial to know what is being said.

Alot of Julia's editorials are very well done. Most have enough depth for the person viewing it to read into it. Very nice. I adore the one for Harpers Bazaar; one of my favourite editorials ever.

What I do find odd is the purpose of Julia being featured on Vogue China's cover... I thought occasional modeling was her intent but it seems she likes doing this. I'm guessing Vogue China features interesting models on their editorials and covers with prominence given to concept and theme. Maybe that's why.

Hi, Kaya! I didn't realize that Julia actually made the COVER of Vogue China, that's sooo cool!! I think that regarding modeling as a career, Julia is realistic and knows it is not forever and so she has an education and she is gaining experience as an art director as well. I think the industry right now is tending toward models with a different body type and a unique look. Julia has both! So she is fortunate, she models and art directs, what a life!

Gosh, in a hurry I always confuse myself over comments. This was supposed to be on the Vogue China post itself, but no, I didn't pay enough attention and ended up commenting in the wrong post and then searching for it... again!

ANOTHER error; I made the pathetic mistake of, again, not paying attention and thinking it was the cover... Maybe I should get some sleep. haha.

Take Care!!

Kaya dear, not to worry!! Comment anywhere at all and if you ever need me to move or delete anything, just say the word. But mostly, don't worry!! They are just comments on a blog.
