Julia Restoin-Roitfeld For Miu Miu

In keeping with the theme of vintage content that has pervaded the site of late, here is a beauty from the archives: Julia Restoin-Roitfeld in Miu Miu for Spring 2008. The campaign was shot by Marc Segal and styled by Elizabeth Sulcer. The harlequin as harlot concept for the campaign is fantastic and Julia transmits as gothic. I love the mysterious quality of the light in these photos, it looks exactly as if Julia is about to step Through the Looking Glass...

Do you think Julia is silently musing...
"If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?"
your erudition is matched only by your handsomeness, my darling.
Oh my God, severe dress envy! That white mini-dress is pure heaven and you're right, the mysterious lighting is wonderful.
Not loving the hair so much - hairbrush anybody!?
Heh, you are funny, Milla! My boyfriend made the same comment about the hair.

Oh, wow, I had no idea she was a model for Miu Miu! She looks stunning. I love the fade-out effect of the photos.
