Vogue Paris December 2010/January 2011: Tom Ford

Woo hoo! Love, love, love the cover of the December/January issue of Vogue Paris featuring guest editor Tom Ford and Daphne Groenveld! Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott snapped the festive photo. About Monsieur Ford's reign as guest editor for VP, editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld had this to say: "Tom has an eye like a scanner. He took his role very seriously. He is truly multitalented.” The 2011 Vogue Paris calendar girl is Daria Werbowy photographed by Mikael Jansson. The holiday issue will be available beginning on November 30. Except for Charlotte Gainsbourg, I have never looked forward to a guest editor with more anticipation — can't wait!!!!!

I know he's taking a bit of heat from the good folks over at 'Jezebel' for putting a rather, ahem, young gal [15 ans!] on the cover. . .but hey, it's VOGUE PARIS! Inside I saw Lauren Hutton, Carol Alt and a number of his 'inspirations'. Couldn't identify them all but the story is that ALL of these 'models' are over 50--GO TOM!!! And it is sooo wonderful to have him back out there performing his civic duty of making the world's women look divine. Gucci since his departure has been utterly BLAH!
VIVA TOM!! He's one of my favorite fashion 'trouble-makers' and has been sorely missed.
