Giovanna Battaglia Fix

I don't know about you but it seems to me like many days have lapsed since Giovanna Battaglia, fashion director for Vogue Gioiello and Vogue Pelle as well as Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld's girlfriend, appeared on the site. Let us rectify that with no further ado... Tamu McPherson of All the Pretty Birds captured this classic shot of Giovanna in midstep, simply elegant. I love every detail right down to the ringlet springing off to one side. Gio is posed outside of the Gianfranco Ferrè Men's Spring 2011 show in Milan.

J'adore Giovanna. She really has got great style.
She always looks just right. But I wonder where her handbag is? How does she function?
Handbag? Come on Kate, we all know she has some gorgeous Italian male model caring her stuff around. Oh wait a minute, that's my fantasy : )
Let us not forget her heavenly Armani Privé dress (Cannes 2010) or the vertically striped dress she wore to Paris Fashion week (featured in "derriere Battaglia"). The woman can do no wrong, and the best thing is that Gio plays up her body shape. That takes some real confidence.
Thank you for your comment, Le Choix Trois! She sure does! I will be in touch with you soon regarding my "assignment."
; )
Kate, she does typically wear a handbag as part of her ensemble but I do not see one here.
Did you ever read Garance Doré's account of the day she tried to imitate Carine and go without a handbag? It is called "Bags, bags, bags. I hate handbags" and it is hilarious.
Oh my, Milla, LOVE this fantasy! Where can I get one?
; D
Great point, Gio is completely confident in her style choices thus looks amazing in all.
I want her coat and enough time to read what I wrote...
Milla, I thought the same as you! Some sexy Italian man is carrying her stuff around! We think alike! And Kellina, thanks for the article. So funny, so true!
Milla, I am laughing so hard at your comment! Oh to have the luxury of adequate time to READ my web site... or just look at the pictures!
; )
My pleasure, Kate! Glad you liked. I am into these wonderful fantasies about sexy Italian men in subservient positions — to hell with handbags. Well played!
Kellina, thanks for your comment! And just so you know, though i lived in Italy for a while, i didn't even know who Gio Battaglia was until i found your GREAT iwanttobearoitfeld!! The lady is definitely a style icon and it's so cool to find out more about high class fashion! as for the borage oil, you were right-it does work! thanks for the initiative of talking about this great product!
Marie, thank you for YOUR comment! It makes my day to hear that you find the site useful, I really appreciate you letting me know. Giovanna is one of the top style icons of our time so I am very happy to "make the introduction."
; )
I definitely think the borage oil works and I am glad to hear you think so too. Hope to see lots more comments from you in the future, Marie, and thanks again!!
