More CR Fashion Book

Ahhhh, sweet September, thick with Roitfeld news! I noticed several amazing interviews today with Carine Roitfeld, focusing on both CR Fashion Book and her collection for M.A.C.... Rather than trying to summarize the greatness for you, please read and enjoy for yourselves... Although I do want to note how much I love this sentiment as expressed by Stephen Gan: “It’s (the success of CR Fashion Book) been great proof to me that it’s a person who’s important over title. In philosophy, there’s a difference between self power and object-referral power, or power that is associated to title and positions. Not to sound too New Age, but I always felt Carine had true self power. It wasn’t so much the context of the medium or where she chose to perform it.” Can I get an amen?!

ugh, just received my book and sadly, it is a disappointment, because the paper/print style is fuzzy, and one wants to see clear images that leap off the page, one wants to see all the beautiful details and textures of make-up, and more, and all I have in my hand is a heavy book printed with a limited range of colors and tones. I will order only the online version next year, not the hard copy, even though I much, much prefer hard copy of her work, which is so creative - yikes!
