Julia Restoin Roitfeld In The Bahamas

Over the weekend, Julia Restoin Roitfeld and her daughter Romy made a magical escape from the wicked weather of New York City, enjoying a brief getaway on the sunny beaches of Musha Cay in the Bahamas. Julia was visiting her friend, designer Chloe Gosselin, also known as the fiancée of David Copperfield, the owner of the 150 acre private island on which they stayed. According to Instagram, Julia and Romy kept busy building sand castles, working out island style on the wakeboard, and feeding and riding giant tortoises, among other island delights. A highlight for Romy certainly must have been viewing the film Maleficent at Dave's Drive-In, a giant outdoor movie theater on Coconut Beach, while Julia seemed most excited to indulge in a Jungle Bubble Bath. As for island fashion, notice that Mademoiselle J is wearing her Kiini bikini and Spektre sunglasses. Be sure to follow Julia on Instagram for more holiday candids as well as an adorable video in which Romy makes a carrot disappear into the mouth of a giant tortoise belonging to David Copperfield — trop mignon — and another video of Romy running on the beach to the tune of Brigitte Bardot singing "La Madrague." Julia Restoin Roitfeld: British GQ September 2014

I loved the images of Julia Restoin Roitfeld that appeared in the September 2014 issue of British GQ and I regret that I am only now finding the time to talk about the issue here. In typical French fashion, Julia appears casual, sexy, and elegant all at once in the photos by Guy Aroch as styled by Julie Ragolia. 

In the first image, Julia looks tough in a black leather shirt by Protagonist as she poses in front of a photo of Andy Warhol shot in the 1960s by Arthur Fellig (also known as Weegee).

We then see JRR lounging seductively on a blanket of fur while modeling a white lace bodysuit by Kiki de Montparnasse.

In the following shot, Julia gazes intensely at the camera in a grey knit sweater by Vince. I think she looks the most like her mother in this picture.

Next comes my favorite among the images: Mademoiselle J perches on a stool in the same grey knit sweater by Vince paired with knickers by Myla and shoes by Christian Louboutin. Bibliothécaire sexy… Ooo la la….

In the final photo, we see Julia Restoin Roitfeld enjoying a cup of tea while looking utterly comfy chic and alluring in a peach knit sweater by Ralph Lauren and knickers by Myla.

The Roitfelds In Yves Saint Laurent: Qui Porte Le Mieux ?

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld recently shared her beauty routine for a night out with Into The Gloss and I love that she borrowed her mother's vintage gold dress by Yves Saint Laurent for the photo shoot. Julia completed her look with large gold hoop earrings (not shown here) and black pumps with bows, tying in with the black velvet bow that cinches the waist of the dress.

Carine Roitfeld is pictured below wearing the same dress at the Vogue Bar at the Hôtel de Crillon during Paris Fashion Week in March 2010. She chose to accessorize vintage YSL with her César Compression pendant (and her Vogue Bar signature cocktail, "Carine's Tea Time").
