Earlier today in London, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld was brilliant at the Burberry Prorsum A/W 2011 show in a silver python biker coat by the label. Notice how she heightens the effect of the stunning piece by wearing it against an entirely black background. Très sexy, très chic !

I am enchanted with this photograph of Carine Roitfeld kissing daughter Julia in the European style as they part ways after the Burberry show. Even though Mama Carine is on the phone likely doing business, she is never too busy to say goodbye to Julia with love. Bonne maman... I had to include the one below as well because Robert Konjic looks so masterful.

The Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2010 collection marked the end of London Fashion Week and Carine Roitfeld was seated front row. Christopher Bailey released his take on the famous Burberry trench, nodding to today's military influence and emphasis on shoulders. Apparently the collection was well-received: shares of Burberry stock rose 5.5 percent the day after the show. Other luminaries on hand for the event included Emma Watson, the face for Burberry, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Mario Testino, Liv Tyler, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Agyness Deyn.

Hmmm, does Carine Roitfeld have a new favorite model? Daria Werbowy is featured on the cover of Vogue Paris for August 2009 and appeared on the May cover as well. They used the same photographers again, too, Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. The theme is decidedly Burberry and it sounds like a fun issue. Inside are editorials such as "Call Me!" inspired by Blondie's style and "French On Top" featuring six models native to France. Subscribers will receive a special bonus DVD, "Vogue Backstage: In the steps of a famous makeup artist, Peter Philips in 80 days"; sneak a peek at the video on vogue.fr.
