I never really cared about moisturizing my skin or anything of the sort in my 20's. Well during my early 30's I was starting to see the age spots and sun spots from tanning. I went to my doctor and paid 1000 for laser treatments and nothing seemed to work. I was trying all home skin care lines and my skin was looking worse and worse by the week. I came across an article on "kiwi drug" about a once a day skin tightening pill by the name of Heliocare. I was wondering if anyone has tried these out before? I am running out of ideas on what to take or use and I have a wedding coming up in 3 weeks' time!
Hi, Julia:
Unfortunately I do not think that three weeks is enough time to reverse the effects of going without moisturizer for so long, especially if you have been tanning. My best advice to you is to follow Julia's advice for great skin: invest in a juicer and drink apple, carrot, ginger juice each day until the wedding. Also pick up a good moisturizer such as Shiseido, that's what I use and I love it. As close to the event as possible, you should get the best facial that you can afford to be sure you are glowing. Mostly you should try not to worry about it, skin is a barometer for stress! I know that you and your wedding will be beautiful.
Hope that helps!
Kellina
Hello, great article, thank you.
I just wanted to add that the Caudalie product you couldn't id is eau de beaute Beauty Elixir in small size. It is a face mist, very refreshing.
;-D
Hello, Lilianne! I am so happy that you like the article. Thank you for giving me the information about the Caudalie product, I will update the list right now.
It is never too late to start protecting your skin. Even if it's a complete mess now, starting a beauty routine will really help. I'm 28 years old and no matter how exhausted, how little time I have to sleep or how much alcohol I've consumed, I never go to bed without removing my make-up, applying face and eye creams and an intensive foot and hand moisturiser. Whatever happens, wrinkles are going to have to fight for their right to be on this body!! Haha :-)
Of all of the products Julia uses, the thing I love most is her use of sunscreen. I live in Europe and it is cold here people, but I never leave the house without putting my 25SPF on my face. Julia is an inspiration and now we all know why she looks so amazing.
Kellina, how old is Julia?
Hi, Milla! Julia is 29 and she looks about 19 in terms of healthy skin and hair. I completely agree with everything you say about starting a beauty routine. It takes me longer to get ready for bed than to get ready in the morning! But it is totally worth it. Your sentiment "wrinkles are going to have to fight for their right to be on this body!!" is so perfect, it is now my new mantra.
: D
29?! She really does look 19! Note to readers: I think it is high time we all hit Sephora and get us some Julia-style products!! Wow, 29?!
Though as we well know product alone doesn't work—you have to use it regularly! If only we could buy discipline...

I wanted to note that the blue bottle behind the green serum bottle on the bottom picture is Mario Badescu Buttermilk Moisturizer. The white jar with the worn label in the same picture (at the top of the three jars) is another Mario Badescu product, though I can't tell what. I'm guessing a mask or the famous drying cream.
Wonderful! Thank you for this information, Stephanie, I have updated the list.
Thank you for your work, we appreciate!
: )
