Robert Konjic

We know that Julia Restoin-Roitfeld has a new love interest and his name is Robert Konjic. But what do we really know about him? Let's take a look at Konjic's stats as provided by his modeling agency:
Sex: Male
Height: 6'1"
Birthplace: Sweden
Shoe: 9.5 US
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Bust: n/a
Waist: 32"
Chest: 40"
Suit: 50 L

All right, so this post is really all about the scantily clad photos—Robert Konjic is hot. This super sexy Gucci boy still cannot believe he gets paid so much money to take off most of his clothes and pose with beautiful women. Some guys just have all the luck. Beautiful and lucky, but still human: when Mario Testino was shooting and asked Konjic to get intimate with the female model, Konjic reveals,  "I was thinking, 'Cow, cow, chicken, chicken', anything to put my mind off what was happening. Eventually I had to ask for time out, it was very embarrassing."

Brigitte Bardot

Among her style inspirations, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld lists Brigitte Bardot: "I’m a big fan of Brigitte Bardot, who represents my perfect woman, not so much for her clothes but for her attitude." Here is Julia at a party for Repetto, posing playfully with wall-size murals featuring Brigitte (along with Serge Gainsbourg on the opposite wall). If you have seen Bardot in her movies such as Et Dieu créa la femme or Le Mépris, perhaps you were inspired by her style as well.

I know that I wore a navy headband (wide) and cardigan for weeks after seeing Le Mépris for the first time. Of course the effect wasn't half as striking against my chestnut locks. Sigh... Is there anything like Bardot's hair for setting fire to men's souls? And that pout...

Here Bardot is pictured in the film Et Dieu créa la femme. I'd give anything to know who made the shoes she is shown in along with the simple chambray shirt dress that she actually wears as she bikes around St. Tropez. Only she could make flats look so very chic.

Coqui Coqui Perfumes

One of Julia Restoin-Roitfeld's favorite fragrances is Maderas Eau de Cologne by Coqui Couqi Perfumes. When I first researched this scent, I was a bit surprised by the price per bottle. Then I noticed that the bottle on Julia's dresser is empty yet she has kept it. I cannot pinpoint why I find this detail so endearing but I do.

Coqui Coqui Perfumes was opened in 2003 by Nicolas Malleville, also occupied as a model and hotelier; he and Julia are close friends. Located in Valladolid on the Yucatan Peninsula, the shop carries a range of pure and natural products made locally: eau de colognes, scented candles, linen sprays, butter emulsions, face creams, and soaps. Essential oils derived from the abundant local botanicals in the area are the basis for the Coqui Coqui line in scents that include aloe, agave, chamomile, coconut, eucalyptus, jasmine, lemon, and mint blends.

Genevieve Jones

When asked to name her favorite New York people, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld said, "I have met so many amazing people, the list would be too long, but I'm sure they know who they are! I definitely have to credit one of my best friends Genevieve Jones, who is simply one of the most generous and caring people I have met!"

Measuring 5'6" and weighing 100 pounds, Genevieve is considered a New York fashion celebrity, although the details of her personal life are still mostly a mystery. We know that she grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and that she works as a jewelry and handbag designer. Genevieve is also part of the team that is developing the Monochrome Magazine project.

The Verve

The season premiere of Entourage reminded me that we have yet to delve into the stacks of albums and books on the floor of Julia Restoin-Roitfeld's apartment as captured by Todd Selby. Strange segue, I know, so let me explain. As the episode closes, Vince comes home to an empty house while The Verve's "Lucky Man" plays hauntingly in the background. I instantly remembered both how much I love this song and that Urban Hymns is one of Julia's favorite albums. And I want to stress that she owns the album grooving at 33 rotations per minute, très frais.

Happiness, more or less...It's just a change in me...Something in my liberty...Oh, my, my...
