Okay, so maybe they aren't exactly playing footsy and they are probably "just friends", but wouldn't Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld and Giovanna Battaglia (the feet pictured above) make the most beautiful power couple in fashion? J'adore Gio so it is with great glee that I am adding her under Vladimir's favorites. Lily seems sweet but he is too young to be tied down to any one extraordinary woman. Look at Giovanna's shoes, c'est magnifique, and then imagine the rest of her outfit. I consider Mademoiselle Battaglia one of the most consistently stylish women in the world so if Vladi is at all Oedipal, she'd be a good fit. Few women can rival his mama's taste after all...

People, please, let's be objective!
Giovanna is an iincredible lady, she is stunning, talented, intelligent and she has an incredible sence of style. Furthermore she worked very hard since she was 16, first in modelling, then creating her own fashion styling company and in recent years with her varios Vogue's resposibilities. She built her own success and she is a genious of creativity.
What about Vladimir? Let's face it....he is a man, he is now 27 yrs old and he managed to create nothing in his life. His only luck is to be the son of a smart and powerful lady.
Is this waht you want from your man? Someone who's only merit is to live in the shadow of the mother?

Dear Truth: Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! You make some valid points, Giovanna is quite the catch, she is in a league of her own. I personally consider her pure genius. However, her family's initial wealth probably helped to shape her success, n'est-ce pas ? They couldn't very well live on the most fashionable street in Milan while she was growing up if they were paupers. As for Vladimir, he won't be 27 until December (how old is Gio?) and while he certainly has connections due to his family's network, I wouldn't deem him worthless. In fact, my thinking is that if you unite his assets with Giovanna's, you'd have an unstoppable force. He may "live in the shadow of his mother" but how could he not? Look at the shadow she casts! Tell me who you think worthy of the fair Giovanna...
Well, he did a serious upgrade! before he was together with some generic blonde model now he's with a woman..and what a woman! speaks good about him, not so sure about her choice but who knows, he's good genes doesn't he?
