Vogue Fashion Celebration Night Recap

Apparently my intel was off: Julia Restoin-Roitfeld celebrated Vogue's special event Fashion's Night Out in New York, not Milan as I previously reported. She is pictured here with Zani Gugelmann as well as Genevieve Jones and Cécile Winckler celebrating fashion at Miu Miu's party at their Manhattan boutique. Everyone shopped late into the night while sipping champagne, surely this must have led to economic stimulation!

In Paris, Carine Roitfeld and Karl Lagerfeld did appear at Chanel as promised with the lovely addition of Emmanuelle Alt. As fate would have it, Fashion Celebration Night fell on Lagerfeld's birthday so the lucky few that gained admission to Chanel can say they partied with him on his special day. I read that a crowd of admirers followed Carine around the city as she made her way from store to store, what fun. Though I didn't see her on this video on Europe1.fr, it does give a glimpse of the vibe of the citywide fashion party. Mr Lagerfeld always seems to be genuinely comfortable in Carine's presence. I think that is the charm of Carine Roitfeld in general. She's not pretentious in this world that relies heavily on pretense. That's what attracts me most to her.
