Celebrate Fashion Tonight
Tonight is the night when Vogue celebrates fashion around the world. In Paris, Carine Roitfeld and Karl Lagerfeld will anchor the Chanel store in what promises to be a unique shopping experience. Here is the news item from Vogue Paris regarding tonight as well as my attempt at translation.
To support the universe of fashion in winds of crisis: all the international editions of Vogue agree that, each in its own way, they are mobilized to this end. For Vogue France, the engagement takes the form of a chic and ludic event, the magazine having decided to devote body and soul to a declaration of style at a party held next September 10 in the heart of the Golden Triangle of Paris. The principle: a shopping spree orchestrated by the editors of fashion publications (first and foremost Carine Roitfeld) who will be standing by, ready to recommend their favorite looks and advise you personally. From Chanel to Prada, Dolce & Gabbana to Ralph Lauren or Gucci, Balenciaga to Versace, Nina Ricci, Dior... The course should be the most beautiful treasure hunt of glamour and elegance to the finish and everyone wins. Vogue Fashion Night Celebration, September 10, 6 to 11 p.m., Avenue Montaigne, Avenue George V and Rue François 1 lr, 75008 Paris.

Tonight's the night!
Kate, what was it like in New York? I hope that you made it to Chanel to see Alexa Chung's set... and that you found a few treasures to add to your collection...

AWW. No, no Chanel, unfortunatly. A fleeting glimpse of Rachel Zoe headed into Missoni, and a brief stop at Takashimaya, the best Japanese luxury store in NY! :) And you?
Cool! I have no real fashion excitement or celebrity sightings to report myself. Unbelievably I am also STILL waiting for the leather skirt and lace tights to arrive from Topshop... what is taking soooo long?!
I bet you weren't the only one to order that leather skirt and those lace tights--my guess, the dreaded backorder. At least you've got some new aquisitions on the way. Not me. All I got was a free glass of Presecco! :)
I know, Kate! That's exactly what I am afraid of. I really dislike that I can't actually track the package from the web site either. This may be my first and last order from Topshop online. Complimentary sparkling wine sounds much nicer!

Kate, the package finally came, YAAAAY!!!! The skirt fits perfectly and you can zip it from the top or bottom, I am thrilled with it. Though it took long enough, it was sooooo worth it! I had to run off for a tennis date but I'll try the tights and report back soon. They look good in the package...
The tights are gorgeous! They do look a bit like the ones in Vogue Paris I think, though they are actual tights not thigh highs. I think I'll have to wear these tomorrow.
