Roitfeld At Louis Vuitton Maison Launch

Carine Roitfeld attended the opening of Louis Vuitton Maison on Bond Street in London last night and she looked chic in the Balmain dress, Alaïa shoes, and Cesar compression pendant that she wore for Armani's party in Cannes last week. Notice the difference in her hairstyle however. The party sounds completely over the top — guests were blindfolded and taken to a secret party location; DJ Dan Lynwood manned the decks before Donna Summer appeared and was joined on stage by none other than Marc Jacobs; Mark Hix provided the evening's simple and savory repast of Cornish sea bass, asparagus, and wild strawberries. Among the celebrities celebrating LV's lavish launch were Bernard Arnault, Gemma Arterton, Sir Peter Blake, Ozwald Boateng, Alexa Chung, Dominic Cooper, Sophie Dahl, Alice Dellal, Catherine Deneuve, Tracey Emin, Luke Evans, Bryan Ferry, Emilia Fox, Jasmine Guinness, Naomie Harris, Angelica Huston, Jade Jagger, Daisy Lowe, Elle Macpherson, Suzy Menkes, Thandie Newton, Bill Nighy, Gwyneth Paltrow, Grayson Perry, Clemence Poesy, Sir Nicholas Serota, Charles Saumarez Smith, Lady Helen Taylor, Stella Tennant, and Natalia Vodianova.

Carine looks beautiful!!! The dress, her signature Alaias and above all her hair are fantastic, and her smile lifts this ensemble to the height of sheer perfection!!! Woah I'm getting poetic....Carine you rock!
Her look is simple, yet powerful!
Amina, Carine's smile makes everything she wears more beautiful, doesn't it? Perfection is right.
Indeed, Kate! Carine is a walking lesson in powerful dressing.

I love Carine's hair! It's so perfect for summer I wish I knew how to do my hair that way. So shiny and wavy but not frizzy.
I also must say I really really admire the way she repeats a lot of her pieces when she obviously has access to unlimited choices.
Tanya—yes and yes!!!
Carine's hair is unique. It seems like everyone else's but show me another person with hair just so. It has to be the product(s) she uses to achieve the texture. I would absolutely love, love, love if Carine were to stop by and give us beauty tips but of course this will never happen.
; )
Hair is also one of the first areas to show signs of aging, just more proof that Carine is absolutely ageless!!
I also admire her repetition of favorite pieces and in front of the media at major events. Carine does what she likes and makes no secret of that and clearly the result inspires. She is so earthy for a woman of her position (especially given her unlimited resources, as you noted!),
"Earthy" - great word for our favourite woman.
We all have favourite pieces, which we wear to make ourselves feel even better than we look, so why shouldn't Carine?! I too admire her for doing things her way in world which pretty much dictates how people ought to dress. Have you noticed that no matter what she wears, she always looks like Carine? You know some people just look too "put together", not our Carine.
Hi, Milla! Great points! There is nothing like the comfort of a favorite garment or accessory, of course Carine must also experience this feeling. I utterly admire her for "doing what she likes" particularly given her position. And, yes, I have noticed that she always looks like Carine, even if she has just lifted the outfit right off the runway! The classic mark of individual style, non ? Go, Carine!!!
