Roitfeld And Lalanne At Men's Fashion Week

Ana Clara Garmendia has captured a stunning photograph of Carine Roitfeld and Olivier Lalanne attending the shows in Paris for the current Fashion Week focusing on menswear. J'adore the bag Carine is carrying embroidered with her initials, chic and darling. If this heralds the return of the monogrammed button down... the Equipment shirt would look hot with my initials on the pocket, non ?

In Jardin des Plantes, which is practically on my door-step! Oh my goodness, why didn't I know about this?! Darn, there goes my 'chance' meeting with our girl. More importantly, there are those shoes again...
I like the ensemble the lady to the left is wearing more though (see Ana's original).
Is it just me, or does Carine's hair always look glossy? What shampoo does this woman use?!
I totally noticed this too Milla. If anyone knows how to get hair like that please share! Shiny, healthy but not overly styled
I love Carine's outfit! First pants now a purse... looks like Carine is smashing all her fashion rules this summer.
Milla, you will get your chance just keep your eyes open... I like the outfit on the lady to the left as well. Carine's hair ALWAYS looks glossy and gorgeous and I regret to say this is one secret I have yet to find. If anyone knows any of Carine's hair products, please let us in on the secret...
Tanya, nice point — Carine is definitely a rule breaker, her own and others!

OMG , beautiiiful ! Thank you!
Those shoes are so perfect for the summer! Love the wild wild west theme in fashion :)

My pleasure, Maya!
Hi, Fashionable Earth! I like the current wild west theme as well though I've been referring to it as "nouveau western" in tribute to MC Solaar.
; )
kellina I did a quick google search to see if I could find any information about her hair and I found this: http://www.theparisblog.com/carine-roitfelds-organic-hair-salon/
Also I see that the same place is mentioned on the Sartorialist's SatoriaLIST as Carine's hair salon: http://www.thesartorialist.com/comingapril_wp.html
Web site: http://www.romaincolors.fr/
Still no clue which products she uses though... Maybe the shampoo and mask mentioned on the site?
Her hair is truly to die for.
Sure, I have written about Romain Colors and other hair stylists that Carine prefers previously such as Rossano Ferretti. That's all well and good if you have the cash and are in the correct geographic location, i.e. not the greatest of odds! What we really need to know are the exact products she uses, how much, how frequently...
; D
Also, her diet plays an important role in her hair's strength and shine, this would be welcome information as well....
Thanks for looking, Tanya!
Awww I knew it was too good to be true to find the info so quickly! Since it's dyed I would think it's more of a gloss than her diet no? I read somewhere that's how Demi Moore gets her hair looking so shiny.
The search continues Kellina! I have faith that you'll dig up something to help us :)
A gloss! Now you are talking, Tanya! I think I have the beginning of a plan here: how about we book appointments with each of Carine's known coiffeurs and interrogate them as to her products...
; D
Seriously though, if I went into Romain Colors and asked for Carine's color is it possible that they would oblige me?
Doubt it because their whole philosophy is to create individual hair cuts and colours uniquely tailored to the specific client :(
I don't know if it's a gloss/glaze though because Carine's hair has more of a golden glow (kind of like Jennifer Aniston who uses Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Oil) than a glassy shine like Demi Moore...
The search continues K.!
But what if all the specific client wants is to have the exact same color as her favorite icon??
; )
We will persevere and find those elusive perfect products that solve every hair issue with ease... That Shu Uemura oil looks interesting — have you tried it yourself, Tanya?
I strongly encourage you to do this :)!!! I'm such an enabler :p
Based on your amazing research skills I seriously have no doubt (and am counting on the fact) that you will find the products. Go Kellina Go!
No but I'm looking for it. I might end up ordering it without smelling it. I've been using MorocanOil that makes my hair super shiny but has a strong musky scent when first applied. The Shu Uemura product is supposed to be a bit lighter and have a different scent so I'm definitely interested in trying it.
: )
Tanya, you are a bad influence!! I love it. If it happens I will certainly give you a full report.
Merci, darling, I hope I can live up to your lofty praise. Again, I will report as available.
; )
Now for the SU, you are killing me here! Everything I have read about it makes it sound like the magic product of all hair products. What prompted you to think this might be on Carine's list? Do you have straight or curly hair? Mine is straight.
It's because Jennifer Aniston's gorgeous hair (hair icon/godess to most everyone) reminds me of Carine's and that's what Jennifer uses. It's wild speculation that it would be on Carine's list. I used to have straight hair that in the last couple of years has been getting a bit wavy for no apparent reason. I'm always looking for products that might make it glow-y, non frizzy, smooth but natural, low maintenance and touchable.
Ahhh. It is a great guess, Tanya, I really like what I have read about SU in reviews. I must say though I am going to try borage oil both internally and externally now that we know this is Julia's secret weapon for gorgeous hair.
