Julia Restoin-Roitfeld's Summer Mix Tape

Hooray! It is a magical day! Julia Restoin-Roitfeld compiled her "Summer Mix Tape" for all of us, perhaps this will help to soothe those end of summer blues we are about to experience. And... well... finally it is confirmed that Julia and I share similar taste! I know, I know, I try not to involve myself but it's music.... Specifically, just three days ago I mentioned that Serge Gainsbourg's "Sea, Sex, and Sun" was one of my favorites, too cool.
Julia photographed Robert Konjic (her beau, also a model) for the latest issue of VMAN and while hanging out at the studio she put together a playlist of her favorite summer songs for a brief article titled "The Sounds of Summer":
Vanessa Paradis “Joe Le Taxi”
Fleetwood Mac “Everywhere”
Serge Gainsbourg “Sea, Sex, And Sun”
The Source “You’ve Got The Love”
Roxette “It Must Have Been Love”
Cut Copy “Hearts on Fire”
Hot Chip “Transmission”
Music Go Music “Warm in the Shadows”
Guns ’n’ Roses “Sweet Child of Mine”
Blur “Boys and Girls”
Iggy Pop “The Passenger”
Talk Talk “It’s My Life (extended version)”
The Verve “Bitter Sweet Symphony”
Toto Coelo “Milk From Coconut”
Kate Bush “Running Up That Hill”
Jimmy Somerville “Smalltown Boy"
La Roux “In For the Kill”
I created a Grooveshark playlist titled "Julia Restoin-Roitfeld Summer Mix Tape" so you can relax and enjoy as DJ Jewels spins her summer picks with the help of MC Konjic... and let us know your favorite summer songs in the comments.

Cool set list but not much electronica. I'm glad you are finally checking out Grooveshark, djkellina.
Michael, c'est vrai but there's Iggy Pop... I like “Milk From Coconut,” it is my first time hearing that one.
KARINA,
I have lost so much respect for you. Karina, you are a bit obsessed with Julia, more so than is necessary. I was looking back at the old archives of thefashionspot.com, which has always been my favorite website, and I never really paid attention to the people that posted on that site, until now.... Before, I only looked at the pictures, but I was going back to read some of the comments... YOU post 99% of the information/photos/everything! No wonder Julia and her posse think that you are a freak! You seriously stalk her!!! AND I defended you before... No wonder the New York Post wrote that article!
~NotARoitfeld and proud of it!
Wow, Caitlin, thank you so much for your comment!
1. If I understand you correctly, you are attacking me for posting information on thefashionspot.com regarding Julia Restoin-Roitfeld. In fact, I have never posted successfully on Fashion Spot and I can prove this. When I log in to tFS the banner at the top reads: "Our records indicate that you have never posted to our site before and we are looking forward to having you as an active member of our community!" I am sure that tFS can corroborate this statement.
2. If I understand you correctly — again I have serious doubts about my understanding of your obvious venom — the opposite of your accusation is true. I did not post any information on Fashion Spot and in fact it is most likely in that forum that I first noticed the "information/photos" that you reference above, leading me to research further. Your accusation is completely unfounded if I understand it correctly.
Merci mille fois for taking the time to write to me, Caitlin.
p.s. et ceux ploucs paresseux à la NYP peut s— ma b—.
I want to write something but I am in a state of absolute confusion...
And another thing.....her name is Kellina, not Karina!! Ha, ha, ha!!!
Life can be confusing from time to time, Milla! Don't hold back...
; )
Ha ha ha! You are the best, Kate, thank you for making me laugh! I figured corrections were moot at this point.

Karina, I have met Caitlin here: http://techcrunch.com/2010/08/25/potroulette/
You manage to convey so much with one link, Habib. Bizarre.
Wowsa. So much venom about such a great playlist? Which somehow got lost in the fray....tisk, tisk. I am totally grooving on the musical interlude. And must listen to Fleetwood Mac. Now.
Yay! Merci mille fois, Noelani! I am so very happy that you are grooving on the playlist. And remember that you can never please all of the people all of the time...

All-Time Summer Song List
I can't think of any others at the moment but Three Dog Night's Shambala Always reminds me of magical sunny summer days on the beach with this song coming from someone's transistor radio a few blankets away...
kudos kellina for your Mt 5.39 response.
Oncet, thank you so much for responding to my question! It is interesting to see what appeals to others as fitting for the "summer" label.
Ha ha ha, Mt 5.39, hardly! Slap me and I'll slap you back. I'm no angel. Remember: sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. No one makes them sharper than me.
; )
To be clear, those tunes are not my Summer tunes—they just happen to be the tunes I have been discovering and enjoying this summer. The one tune by Three Dog Night—that is Definitely a summer tune for me.
I was in error calling Caitlin Karina, but not in commending you for your graciousness, in This Instance, in your response to her nasty note.
Carry on K. When you are famous you'll have people "stalking" You online.
Oncet, I noted your headings "Favorite Songs from This Summer" and "All-Time Summer Song List" (a list composed of one unbulleted song, I hasten to add) so I understood the difference but thank you for clarifying for those that cannot read you as clearly as I can.
I suspected you meant Caitlin. Thank you kindly for your commendation.
I doubt it but if so happy hunting! Anyone that wants to build an "I Want To Be A De Boer" site will be sorely lacking for content!

My Muse, my Muse!
(Hoping this is not overkill)
