Carine Roitfeld By Arabella Proffer

I am delighted to present this portrait of Carine Roitfeld, painted especially for I Want To Be A Roitfeld by the talented and gracious Arabella Proffer. The original painting is 5" x 6" oil on paper and depicts Carine against the backdrop of her chic Parisian apartment. Arabella is an artist and designer who refers to herself as an unabashed Mannerist. She was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, then moved from coast to coast until settling in Cleveland, Ohio, at least for now. For more of Arabella's wonderful art, please be sure to visit her at arabellaproffer.com. Thank you very much for sharing your talent with all of us, Arabella!

I didn't want to do one look in particular, and I don't copy from photos, so I took a mental inventory of her style from the past 20 years and combined it to give a general aura. Of course her love of leopard print and that dress always stayed with me, as it's my favorite color. Leopard print can be a favorite color? Right?
