Carine Roitfeld As Coco Chanel

As you may have heard, Carine Roitfeld and Karl Lagerfeld will release their interpretation of a timeless icon of fashion this autumn, The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited, a book that celebrates the Chanel LBJ as rethought by Lagerfeld. A fabulous range of subjects poses for the book wearing the Chanel jacket as styled by La Roitfeld and photographed by Lagerfeld. In the fun video captured back stage during the shoots, Carine dresses as Coco Chanel complete with Chanel jacket, multiple strands of pearls, and the infamous straw boater. A few of the more than 100 subjects featured in the book are Tilda Swinton, Georgia May Jagger, Alice Dellal, Yoko Ono, Claudia Schiffer, Uma Thurman, Kanye West, Baptiste Giabiconi, and Sarah Jessica Parker. The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited is scheduled to publish 15 August 2012; pre-order now and save 40% and you will be among the first to receive it! Also, do not miss The Secrets of the Little Black Jacket by Chanel, a short film that peeks behind the scenes at the production of the classic jacket.

Carine ... even when she's still, she looks like she's dancing

It is strange to see Carine dressed as Chanel; I'm so used to her other persona. She looks like a dark Russian pixie.

B, I can see that. At first I thought the woman on the right with her back to the camera was Emmanuelle but no.

I know, Montse, totally!!! It is so nice of Carine to continue giving us these delicious books to anxiously anticipate. Irreverent was certainly the best book among all of the amazing fashion publications of last year and LBJ is sure to be special this year. Keep 'em coming, Carine!
