Sergio Rossi: Dedicated To Carine Roitfeld

It has been an eventful few weeks for admirers of Carine Roitfeld with seemingly nonstop coverage of her every move. The latest news suggests that Francesco Russo, creative director for Sergio Rossi, is one of her biggest fans: he has designed a shoe in her honor. The olive green python and suede beauties that Carine wore throughout New York Fashion Week are emblazoned with the words "Dedicated to Carine Roitfeld" on the inner soles. Available only through Barneys New York, these sexy limited edition Sergio Rossi sandals are the perfect tribute to La Roitfeld.

Inside Carine Roitfeld: Irreverent

As shots surface of the interior of the forthcoming book Carine Roitfeld: Irreverent, I simply cannot help but add them to the photo gallery to be browsed at once. Look at this photograph of Carine with a perm as proof of the goodness to come... Please, sir, I want some more...

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld And Emilio De La Morena

Industrie Magazine published a fun piece earlier this month entitled "A Day in the Life of Emilio de la Morena" following the designer for the day and with whom do you suppose he is pictured enjoying a leisurely café? That's right, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld! Visit Industrie to see the full story in all its cartoonish glory or read more about Emilio de la Morena as one of Julia's Favorites.

Carine Roitfeld's Own Label?

I have very little information but this would be so fabulous that I am sharing it with you anyway: it looks as if Carine Roitfeld is designing her own line of clothing under the eponymous label as seen in the photograph above from Twitter.

Then below is a snapshot by Derek Blasberg who Tweets that he is in Britain having tea at the Wolseley with Carine, hairstylist Luigi Moreni, and photographer Iango Henzi — dare I suggest they are already working on the lookbook for the premiere CR collection? Say it's so...

Hakaan Yildirim Wins ANDAM

Carine Roitfeld chaired the ANDAM Fashion Award committee this year which today announced Hakaan Yildirim as the winning designer. I guess La Roitfeld liked what she saw when she flew in during London Fashion Week just for Yildirim's collection. He will show in Paris now and must also open shop in France having won the ANDAM award. Upon learning that he had won, Yildirim said "This is so magical. We are honored.” The other designers chosen for the prestigious award were Mark Fast, Calla Haynes, Bouchra Jarrar, Francesco Scognamiglio, and Alexandre Vauthier.
