Roitfeld In Marrakech

The legendary hotel La Mamounia opened its famous doors last week after a three year closure and Carine Roitfeld was one of the many luminaries that checked in to celebrate the return of this Moroccan delight. The evening's entertainment included Cirque du Soleil and José Carreras and afterhours in the hotel lounge, Churchill Bar, a few of the stellar karaoke singers taking the stage were Carine Roitfeld, Matthew Williamson, Daria Werbowy, Inez van Lamsweerde, and Vinoodh Matadin. The party guests included Miranda Kerr, Orlando Bloom, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bryan Ferry, Juliette Binoche, and Adrien Brody. The hotel was redesigned by the acclaimed Jacques Garcia while closed; he also did Hôtel Costes in Paris. Among many other notable facts: La Mamounia was the setting for Alfred Hitchcock's amazing film The Man Who Knew Too Much.
