Lily Donaldson

Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld loves his supermodels, preferably smart and wealthy, too. He is currently involved with Lily Donaldson, a 22 year old model hailing from London. She is often described as the "smartest and most sophisticated of the bunch" among the latest crop of supermodels dominating the runways and glossies. Lily is also one of the most handsomely compensated of the new generation of models; last year she paid $2.2 million for an apartment near Tompkins Square Park on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The flat features a 40-foot living room with windows that face three directions, Brazilian cherry wood floors “that glow with the setting sun,” two bedrooms and a dressing room, and two bathrooms with original pedestal sinks and cast iron tubs. Her close friends include models Gemma Ward and Irina Lazareanu. Donaldson and Restoin-Roitfeld have been linked since early 2007.

Jacques Roitfeld

When queried by BlackBook as to his favorite New York City restaurants, Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld had a great answer: The Russian Tea Room. "I love the Russian atmosphere, it reminds me of my grandfather," he reminisces fondly. His grandfather was Jacques Roitfeld, perhaps better known as Carine Roitfeld's father. Jacques was a Russian film producer and worked in Berlin until moving to Paris and meeting her mother. In Carine's Wikipedia entry, she describes her father as her "idol," and says that "he was always away, filming, at Cannes." She still drinks strong black tea with a bit of jam under the tongue to sweeten it, too, so clearly her father's heritage was influential. Carine showed the photo above of Vladimir with his grandfather during her recent CNN interview. (If you know the third man in the photo, please let me know.) Vladimir, by the looks of things, tea at your grandfather's house must have been amazing.

Bar Pitti

When BlackBook asked Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld about his favorite spots in New York, he answered "Bar Pitti, because I like how friendly Italians are. You always feel like a big family." The restaurant focuses on fresh Tuscan dishes with the specials chalked on the board each night in Italian. Page Six compares Bar Pitti with its more expensive sibling restaurant, Da Silvano in detail.

Indochine

As their web site states: "A favorite with New Yorkers and world travelers since its opening in 1984, Indochine is a timeless classic that combines stylish ambience, tropical décor, and exotic French-Vietnamese cuisine that is perfect for intimate dinners and private events alike." The Roitfelds gather their friends at Indochine regularly, most recently in February to celebrate Vladimir's graduation from film school at University of Southern California. Interesting aside, apparently a number of the models and celebrities at the party were flipping out over the lack of alchohol though the party was sponsored by Moët and Belvedere vodka. Vladimir also celebrated his last birthday at Indochine with a group of family and friends in December.
