Restoin-Roitfeld Hosts Haiti Benefit

More excellent fundraising work by the Roitfeld family: fashionistas in New York City are uniting to provide support to those left in the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld is lending a helping hand. Julia, along with Narciso Rodriguez, Cynthia Rowley, and others, will host an American Red Cross fundraiser at the Thom Bar in Soho. Teen Vogue and The Misshapes will host another Haiti benefit at the Soho Grand Hotel. If you are in the New York area, please stop by and show your support for this country in need.

Outstanding support for Haiti has come from other generous sources. Sandra Bullock donated $1,000,000 to Doctors Without Borders to rebuild three of the hospitals destroyed by the earthquake in Port-Au-Prince; Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie just gave them another $1,000,000. The tennis stars at this year's Australian Open raised more than $185,000 to benefit the earthquake victims in a special exhibition event dubbed "Hit for Haiti." Oh yes, and the superhero trifecta of presidents is on the case as well heading up a major fundraising effort for Haiti, sounds promising...
