Julia Restoin-Roitfeld's 30th Birthday Party Photos

There are so many gorgeous photos of Julia Restoin-Roitfeld's 30th birthday party Friday night at Indochine that I added the collection to the photo gallery. What a party! Julia was joined in her celebration by a crowd of her friends and family including her parents, Christian Restoin and Carine Roitfeld, and her brother, Vladimir, and his girlfriend, Giovanna Battaglia. Notable among the crowd were Peter Dundas of Pucci who designed Julia's short red lace dress especially for her for the party; other rock star designers such as Riccardo Tisci, Joseph Altuzarra, and Alexander Wang; top models like Lara Stone, Lily Donaldson, and Helena Christensen; and talented friends including Pamela Love and Eddie Borgo. Only Mademoiselle Restoin-Roitfeld could make turning thirty look so hot.

Every woman needs a racy lacy red dress in her closet!

It's between this stunning red dress and the green Cannes one for her best ensemble ever. Flawless. Just flawless.

Bravo!!

Ok I cannot get past the look of Carine's greasy husband (had the very same thoughts about his pics at the Ball)...he looks sleazy. On the upside, the pic of Carine and Julia is so honest and loving, a genuine close bond. It is what we all hope to have with our adult daughters.

Great eye par usual, Milla!! The outfits you named are definitely two standouts in Julia's sartorial history. LOVE!

Oh no, Cupcake! Greasy AND sleazy?! I think Christian is handsome and looks sincere, one of Carine's favorite qualities. C'est la vie. I concur on the photo of CR and JRR, the love and respect are evident.

Julia looks beautiful, but what's up with Carine, her outfit is so bad and she looks oddly fat in it?!? Christian looks alright - nothing greasy or sleazy, just a handsome man of a certain age who doesn't try to look like he's 20 years younger than he is. I like his look, and so does Carine, obviously ; )

Amina, LOVE your points regarding Christian! The phrase "a woman of a certain age" is part of our culture, but what about the man of a certain age? I would guess that Christian is in his 50s or above and he isn't pretending to be something he is not — younger, hipper, whatever. I like his look, too, as well as your reminder that if Carine loves him, that's enough for me!

Julia is beautiful here, Carine, hmmmm, it is a bit off for me. A smidge too western maybe. As for Carine — fat? I have yet to see her look fat.
