Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld Interview

Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld makes a rare (and very brief) appearance in a video for Vogue Germany during New York Fashion Week in which the reporter interviews people on the street to find out which designers they are wearing. Carine Roitfeld makes an even briefer appearance walking by with Garance Doré but they don't really say much.

I loved the video overall, I got so much out of it, more than I usually would with street style. There was so much I mentally made a note of.

I even spotted one of the bloggers I read, Nini from Ninistyle.net, you should check her blog out, she''s quite good. Let me know what you thought.

I watched it basically to see how he articulates himself, but it turned out to be a fun watch on the whole.

Leighton Meester speaks so well, politely, confidently but never over-confidently.

BTW do you watch Gossip Girl, and if you are in France, of which I'm not yet sure, is it well-known there? Don't you just love it?? Lol It's my all time favourite show, it's classy, witty, has brilliant writing, NYC and has all the usual entertainment and subject matter taken up ten fold because of the shows characters and environment. It has everything that appeals to people who love the OC but with an environment and characters I can completely relate to. I never connected with something like the OC and the rest of the more popular TV shows, like Sex an the City for example, because I never really connected to the characters and the atmosphere of the show.

Here I feel so deeply about this show because I can relate to what they say and know why they say what they say, why they react the way they do, the whole sensibility y'know? But probably also because I'm eighteen so the characters are around the same age.. It's become more than just another show for me lol If you haven't already, you should totally check it out, if not for anything for the fashion!

Oops that was long! lol

Kaya, I am so glad you found the video useful. I did as well, though the interviews were mostly very brief they were interesting. I love that you watched the video to see how Vladimir articulates himself! What did you think? I like his level of confidence.

I will definitely check out Nini, thank you for the tip.

Funny you should mention Gossip Girl, I had to interrupt Season 2, Episode 3 to go to bed last night. I watched one and then started another, I just had to watch a little bit more!! It is dangerous.

; D

I can't wait to see how Kate likes it, we'll all have to compare notes as she starts getting into it.
