Julia Restoin-Roitfeld At Black Swan Premiere

An intriguing new film by Darren Aronofsky, Black Swan, premiered at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City last night and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld was on hand to celebrate the release, seductive in black lace Dolce & Gabbana and scorching pink lips. How can a single woman look equally perfect in bright red, hot pink, or au naturel? It hardly seems fair. I love the styling of her hair here, the loose wave is most becoming. Has she lightened it as well? Moving away from dissecting the minutiae of Julia's beauty... Other glamorous guests graced the red carpet for the premiere as well: Monsieur Aronofsky and the stars of the film, Natalie Portman, Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder, Mila Kunis, Barbara Hershey, Ksenia Solo, and Sebastian Stan; the Mulleavy sisters (costume designers for the film); Yigal Azrouël; Ellen Barkin; Thora Birch; Emmanuelle Chriqui; Chace Crawford; Peter Facinelli; Jill Flint; James Lipton; Rick Ocasek; Paulina Porizkova; Zac Posen; and Jean Reno. Black Swan opens in theaters Friday and looks to be one dark beauty I do not want to miss...

The lipstick is the hit of colour that makes this not overly black. Wish I could pull off that pink it's so cute!

I love the words you chose to describe Julia, Monse!! In fact, I had written this entry referring to JRR as "the evening's true black swan" but the whole thing seemed over the top so I rewrote it. I am delighted to know that the image inspired you similarly.

Michael, I cannot wait to see this movie with you! It has been some time since anything out of Hollywood has so intrigued me.
2 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
Très cool, Savine! I never thought a film about ballet would grab my attention but this one certainly has.
2 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
Nice point, therawpower, Julia has been working the lace to great effect of late.
2 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
Right on, Milla! Happy to hear that Julia's ensemble meets your approval. Loving that fuchsia!!

She is truly a beautiful woman. What a great smile in the first shot. It's everything mischievous and sexy and knowing and flirty and confident and feminine.
2 décembre 2010 | Unregistered Commenteroncet
Hi, Maya! Super sexy, non ? This woman knows how to dress for impact.
2 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
True dat, Cupcake! The hot pink IS the perfect hit of color. Her lips actually draw the eye upwards from her enthralling black lace, no easy feat.
2 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
Agreed, Cristina, absolutely fabulous!!!!

Kisses

Ahhh, impersonator of Kellina! So nice to see that you are back to tease me. If you will excuse me, I am going into a meeting now...
2 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
Oncet, sounds as if you are developing one hell of a crush on our JRR! Loving it.
2 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
She's TOUGH, yo!
2 décembre 2010 | Unregistered Commenteroncet
Yo, I get that. Hence the blog.

Dear I, In a meeting ? I m back then :-)

Poetry, I think.

She IS the Black Swan!
2 décembre 2010 | Unregistered CommenterSMM
Dearest Kellina II, you are so great at this, you even have my wit! Wonderful imitation, j'adore. And now back to my regularly scheduled meeting...
2 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
She is indeed, SMM, lovely.
2 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
Sure. Take care of my blog. Best !
2 décembre 2010 | Unregistered Commenterkellina [impersonator]
Oh I always do, Kellina II. Are you sure you are a de Boer and not a Roitfeld? Les Tuileries are just around the corner...

3 décembre 2010 | Unregistered Commenterkellina II
Bye? Why? Mais bonne nuit maintenant...
3 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
I might come back if you don't mind.

Next year probably to wish you all the best.
3 décembre 2010 | Unregistered Commenterkellina II
Kellina II, I noticed that it was one year ago today that you left your last comment. What is the significance of this date?
3 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
... no idea (so far). I'll tell you next year if and only if I have found the answer ;-)

all the best anyway !
3 décembre 2010 | Unregistered Commenterkellina II
Feel free to visit more often than annually, Kellina II, or else you will have a lot of reading to do next year...

; )
3 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
Amazing! Sometimes just a pop of colour is all you need....
3 décembre 2010 | Unregistered CommenterLola Starr
Thank you for visiting, Lola! Yes, just that hit of hot pink makes all the difference here.
3 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
She is perfection, the dress, the tights, the lip colour, all divine. AND I am dying to see Black Swan, I may need to drag husband.....
6 décembre 2010 | Unregistered Commenternoelani
Agreed on every single count, Noelani!! Although I think Michael actually wants to see the movie, with DA directing he can hardly dismiss it as a chick flick...
7 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
May I say, all over again, like I hadn't already said it, what a knockout this woman is?
10 décembre 2010 | Unregistered Commenteroncet
You may, Oncet. I feel that I constantly repeat the same phrases about the Roitfelds but hindered by a finite number of superlatives in the English language, what can one do? I've exhausted my cache of French phrases as well yet I remain compelled to sing the praises of fashion's finest family. I admit possession, perhaps you have fallen under the Roitfeld spell as well...
10 décembre 2010 | Registered Commenterkellina
Only Julia's.

I sent this post to my mother and sister--their opinions respectively:

She is totally beautiful. I love the expressive eyes and the really cute smile, she looks fresh and clean.

Eh...cute but nothing to write home about in my book.I always thought exotic women were more attractive. She's pretty enough but....eh
