Vogue Honors Editors

Last night in Paris, Condé Nast chairman Jonathan Newhouse hosted the annual dinner in honor of the editors of Vogue worldwide and of course Carine Roitfeld was one of the VIPs brightening the room. The dinner took place at Prunier, renowned for its caviar and seafood, and the most influential people in the industry came together to celebrate. Other editors on the guest list: Kirstie Clements from Vogue Australia, Angelica Cheung and Nicoletta Santoro from Vogue China, Christiane Arp from Vogue Germany, Priya Tanna and Anaita Adajania from Vogue India, Franca Sozzani from Vogue Italy, Eva Hughes from Vogue Mexico, Anna Dello Russo and Mitsuko Watanbe from Vogue Nippon, Emmanuelle Alt and Olivier Lalanne from Vogue Paris, Karina Dobrotvorskaya from Vogue Russia, Seda Domanic from Vogue Turkey, and Alexandra Shulman and Lucinda Chambers representing Vogue UK. Also part of the party were Christophe Decarnin from Balmain, Alber Elbaz from Lanvin, and Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri from Valentino. The gold lamé gown that Carine is wearing for the occasion is vintage Yves Saint Laurent.

Derrière Battaglia

To be recognizable from the waist down and from behind—this is the pinnacle of style. Particularly as it is nowhere near as perverse as it sounds. Giovanna Battaglia, I salute you for making an art of fashion every single time you dress. Special thanks to Fred at Easy Fashion Paris for his kind permission to share his composition with you.

Roitfeld And Konjic At Le Montana

The hottest couple ever (aka Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and Robert Konjic) stopped in at Le Montana for Purple Magazine's party last night and if you look closely, Robie is sporting leather pants, grrrow! Olivier Zahm hosted the party to honor Diane von Furstenberg, recently featured on the cover of Purple Fashion. Other hotties on hand to celebrate included Charlotte Casiraghi, Anna Dello Russo, Milla Jovovich, Karl Lagerfeld, Leigh Lezark, Christian Louboutin, Lauren Santo Domingo, and Olympia Scarry.

Une Fille Un Style

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld is one of the prettiest people in the world. Though her style is influenced by some of the best at what they do, Julia's inimitable essence shines through. She keeps it deceivingly simple and consistently seductive yet always fresh and uniquely herself. If I may be so bold, why not feature Julia as "Une Fille Un Style" in Vogue Paris? I know there would be cries of nepotism, but that occurs readily and with much less reason. I cannot think of anyone that I would prefer to see, how about you? Particularly if (as I fear) Julia has relocated to London, we would clearly love to view photographs of her new place; the "Une Fille Un Style" pages are the perfect forum. In the comments below, please take a minute to either vote for Julia or suggest an alternate for "Une Fille Un Style." We might mention a few others to Carine while we are at it...

Vogue Bar At Hôtel de Crillon

The Vogue Bar opens at Hôtel de Crillon today and the menu looks superb. Enjoy "Carine's Tea Time," a mélange of Absolut vodka, green tea syrup, lime juice, and mint blossom water or "Julia's Rose," a blend of Absolut vodka, rose syrup, and apple and cranberry juices. Perhaps you are in the mood for a "Tom Ford's Apple Martini" or a "Suprême Emmanuelle Smoothie." Additionally, the news from Paris Fashion Week is being broadcast on flatscreens for those taking a break from the front row and makeup artists will be on hand for consultations and touch ups. Be sure to get there quickly: this new spot to see and be seen will last only through March 13.
