The Roitfelds At Prism Gallery Opening

After Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld's recent show presenting Nicolas Pol, he and his mother Carine traveled west to attend the opening of the latest venture of his friend (and client) PC Valmorbida: the Prism Gallery in Los Angeles. The debut exhibit is titled "Mind the Gap" and kicks off the opening of this new art space on Sunset Strip pioneered by Australian "It boy" Valmorbida. Regarding his vision for the new gallery, Valmorbida says, “We are trying to close the gap between blue chip art and street art and make it accessible to everyone.” The street artists featured are Philip Frost and Barry McGee and the show is curated by PM Tenore, who founded RVCA. DJ Nick Cohen played to the arty crowd which included Anthony Kiedis, Margherita Missoni, Brody Jenner, Elizabeth Richards, Brandon Davis, and Stavros Niarchos. "Mind the Gap" runs through 20 February 2010 so be sure to check it out if you are in Los Angeles.

She looks like she had something done... a little touch of botox perhaps? she looks a lot brighter...

17 novembre 2009 | Unregistered Commenterjacnotblogging

I sincerely doubt that Carine had a touch of Botox!

17 novembre 2009 | Registered Commenterkellina

Oh i know she's said she's not for botox before, but she could have changed her mind... along with the curls and the nails, and the hair colour.
her brows look a bit lifted don't you think?
i want mama roitfeld to look good, whatever the means!

I can't know for sure and of course people change their minds constantly. However, for me, deciding to inject into your body the most toxic substance known to humankind constitutes a permanent change whereas choosing to curl your hair or color your nails is ephemeral.

Only Carine could pull off that much black suede. I dig.

Nice point, Lydia! I had not yet pieced together that the dress and boots were both black suede. Thank you so much for commenting and for leaving your blog address, you have many photos that I had not seen so I am happy to have new inspiration.
