Roitfeld In Tatler's Little Black Book

Annually Tatler prints its infamous Little Black Book, a list of the 100 most sought after bachelors and bachelorettes in the United Kingdom and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld made the cut for 2010. I guess that you need not be a UK resident in order to be chosen.

Other beautiful people on the list include Daisy Blount, Edie Campbell, Chelsy Davy, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, David Gandy, Sophia Greene, Nicholas Hoult, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, George Lineker, Daisy Lowe, James Middleton, Pippa Middleton, Dizzee Rascall, Zafar Rushdie, Kaya Scodelario, Caroline Sieber, Victoria von Westenholz, Violet von Westenholz, Ed Westwick, and Tyrone Wood.

The list is printed in the December issue of Tatler which is on newsstands now. Note that it looks as if Julia had a better option, skipping the Tatler launch party for the swank soirée that InStyle UK threw for Dolce & Gabbana so I have used a photo from that event instead.

Restoin-Roitfeld Shows Pol In London

Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld opened a new exhibit featuring Parisian artist Nicolas Pol last week at The Old Dairy in London as part of the Frieze Art Fair. In typical Roitfeld fashion, the private opening party for "Nicolas Pol, Mother of Pouacrus" looks to be glamorous yet fun... check the photo gallery for evidence. I might add profitable as well: every painting sold by the evening's end, even those created merely hours before by the artist.

Asked for his inspiration for one of his paintings, Pol politely replied that he had used the idea of a virgin prostitute,"I began to see her as a hermaphrodite, masturbating, surrounded by sex toys. I just love the idea of the possessed skeleton fucking itself." Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld glowingly refers to Vladi's work: "Tonight is all about the art of my son, and I am just a proud mother." "Nicolas Pol, Mother of Pouacrus" runs from October 15 to November 5; be sure to stop in to view the art that Pol describes as his invitation to see painting as witchcraft before all the pieces are tucked away in private collections by their enchanted buyers.

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld At London Fashion Week

Phill Taylor of Taylor-Made kindly permitted me to share with you this gorgeous photograph of Julia Restoin-Roitfeld at the Christopher Kane show for London Fashion Week. The black and white treatment plays up Julia's wholesome beauty perfectly and the collar of the leather jacket gives the composition just the right edge. Taylor describes both Julia and her mother, Carine Roitfeld, as being nice and down to earth as they spent time posing for photographers. Thank you so much for this timeless image, Phill.

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld: Hendrix Pop-Up Party

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld is electric in black for the release of Fin DAC's screen print Hendrix: Still Reigning, Still Dreaming in London on Thursday. The pop-up exhibit was hosted by Beautiful Crime at the Red Bull Studios to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the death of musical legend Jimi Hendrix. Guests viewed Fin DAC's striking 16-color print finished by hand and bid in an auction of the Irish urban artist's work including four originals in copper, metal, newspaper collage, and wood. On hand to DJ the event was Stuee from The Paddingtons. Does anyone know who designed Julia's outrageously sexy little black dress?

Restoin-Roitfeld At Serpentine Gallery

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld was out for the annual summer party at the Serpentine Gallery in London last night and she looks so beautiful. Julia stood out from the crowd dressed in a floor length black lace gown custom made for her by Emilio Pucci, accompanied by sandals adorned with leopard (also by Pucci) and diamond earrings designed by Solange Azagury-Partridge. Pure seduction, non ?

The outdoor pavilion of the gallery created by French architect Jean Nouvel this year was unveiled as part of the festivities. The theme was red hot: red glass walls and a reflective metallic floor lined with red ping pong tables and red chess sets to keep guests playful. British rapper Dizzee Rascal provided the evening's entertainment.

The glamorous guest list included Donna Air, David and Paloma Bailey, Tamara Beckwith, Lily Cole, Poppy Delevigne, Charlotte Dellal, Nancy Dell'Olio, Tracey Emin, Zaha Hadid, Nicky Haslam, Grace Jones, Myleene Klass, Beverly Knight, Jasmin LeBon, Jared Leto, Piers Morgan, Astrid Muñoz, Caroline Sieber, Margo Stilley, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, Alice Temperley, Holly Valance, Celia Walden, Assia and Steven Webster, Matthew Williamson, Bill and Suzanne Wyman, and Will Young.
